@GamesCage_ It might be the industry norm for the foreseeable future for now, but I think as long as it’s not replacing actual human created code, art, etc. then I can definitely tolerate it.

I just hope they realize we don’t agree with their decision and shift away from it in the future

@thunderba11r Demon souls on the PS5 was my first launch title game and first souls game. The friction of overcoming the first area in the game is what unlocked my “Aha!” Moment. It felt very euphoric and is what made me a souls fan 😊

Any AI assets are used only as placeholders that are being replaced with manually created materials, says the Crazy Taxi: World Tour lead, Kenji Kanno, to Kotaku.

“We used it as a reference, so our artists would pull up [and] generate some of their ideas, and then they would look at that, you know, generated image, and then they would draw the actual thing. So actual creators, everything from programming to assets, everything is made by an actual human. It’s only used as a reference for them to look at, and then they would actually create the actual thing that would go into the game.”

SEGA is far from the first company to use AI for such purposes. While such publishers often face initial criticism, it seems that the tool is becoming the industry’s norm.

I can speak freely because I’m 65 years old and my pocketful of fucks is seriously depleted.

Working as a paralegal at various studios in LA for thirty years…I had the opportunity to observe studio executives closely.

They’re generally a slippery and clueless bunch who shouldn’t be allowed near anything remotely creative…but the new regime at Paramount is straight up evil.

I assure you.

These soulless bastards have nothing but contempt for a show about grace and redemption and the struggle against fascism.

ATLA is a mystery to them.
