@dubious_gannet @Srirachachau Don't forget about PayPal, electric cars, a nationwide network of charging stations, reusable rockets that autonomously land backwards, the ability to put astronauts on the ISS without paying the Russians to do it, etc.
@confusion_reign@Srirachachau I think it's because people didn't evaluate him based on his looks or how he talks. They probably did it for things like making rockets reusable in a way that nearly everyone said was impossible.
@KerryBirdWhite1@elonmusk The 44 billion didn't disappear. It changed hands. You should be asking this question of those who received it. Shouldn't you be happy that the 44 billion isn't in Elon's hands anymore and in somebody else's?
@socityjim@KatiePavlich I read that, but it seems to be in contradiction to other studies coming out of areas with a much higher vaccination rate that been vaccinated longer.
@kylecordes@arturdwora@SpaceX Rocket engines do not idle. Starting the engines generates thrust. If they start the engines too soon then the rocket develops too much lateral velocity making the landing flip even more extreme.
@Tinkafur@SpaceX SpaceX has no idea what they are doing. 100 successful missions, more satellites into orbit than any other entity in history, the first to land an orbital rocket vertically, and the ability to reuse boosters 8 times proves they are idiots. Tweeters know how to do it right.
