@JohnHann04 Higher temperatures do reduce solar panel efficiency. But when temperatures are higher, so is solar radiation, so reduced efficiency gives you roughly the same output as you get at lower temperatures.

@JohnHann04 This is not true. This week we experienced sustained temperatures above 30C and peaking at 36C, yet my solar panels produced 44+kWh daily, which is what they produce on cloudless summer days when the temperature is only 24C.

@JohnHann04 Better insulated houses keep heat in during cold weather and out during hot weather. Insulation slows the transfer of heat in either direction. During the current heat wave, my solar panels generate way more than my air conditioner needs to keep my house at a comfortable 22C.
