From 25 to 27 February 2025, @LPI_voices' Kenya Programme, in partnership with @PiOC_Network, chaired by the @StanleyConnect, is hosting the Africa Regional Member Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop was graced by the Nairobi County Commissioner, Mr. David Wanyonyi who officially opened the event underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in building safer cities.
Bringing together experts in violence prevention, urban peacebuilding, and social change, the workshop unites leaders from PiOC member cities, with local, regional, and global organisations. Through interactive sessions, site visits in Kibera, Korogocho and Mathare (informal settlements in Nairobi) and collaborative dialogues, we are exploring innovative, context-driven strategies to reducing urban violence grounded in Africa’s unique context of rapid urbanisation and transformation.
Together we are working to create safer, more inclusive, and resilient cities
