Managed Isolation is weird. The perks of my day are getting a free coffee from the facility and then my midday dance break cause Rasputin came on the radio? What? The? Heck? #ManagedIsolation
Speaker was Josh Bailey and it was a very interesting and entertaining talk. Josh has collaborated on a cool album of tesla coil music, find it here https://t.co/ydL7yryTbT (this is a note to self so I actually check it out after the con today)
@BettyJunod@aneel Hated in the nation ! That was fricking awesome and fricking scary at the same time with those mechanical bees and the social media aspects. One of my favourite episodes!
Try to do something practical and productive to feel better about the day and this happens. Twice. With two different drill bits one of which has snapped off inside the wood. Classic #diydonts
@Cloud_elijah I have quite a few stories on this topic, I don't think I have many days where there isn't some off-hand comment or interaction with some casual sexism.
Today I was told by a colleague that in order to be identified as a Solutions Architect I must wear hiking style boots, however, Architects sometimes wear suits. So new requirement is to have facial hair.
So, I guess it's time I let my beard grow out? #womenintech#casualsexism
@Cloud_elijah If I'd felt more comfortable in the room with those present I may have been more inclined to question how one identifies a female architect. But the room was all-male and no-one seemed to pick up any issues with his comments.
@matvelloso Same issue here. My Spotify kept stopping when my phone would go to sleep because “battery saving” . Had to dig around in menus to find the option to turn it off.
@awsgeek I may have found the answer. https://t.co/BBUZGcDk6R this blog post says introducing SAM and was published Nov 18, 2016. So that could be it! Anyone know if that is the actual release date?
What neat tricks have my fellow #Terraform automators come up with to do the remote state management to better enable team collaboration? So far none of the options are really that optimal for my use case.
Anyone done anything cool with #GitLab and #Terraform? GitOps stuff maybe
