A wonderful thing about the Oulton Park Gold Cup is that it’s reinvented itself countless times over the years.

Many recall the F1 and F5000 eras of the ‘60s and ‘70s with special affection.

But one of my favourite times was when it was run as a race for airport stair trucks.
