Great to spend time this evening with @Conservatives friends and supporters commemorating 50 years since Margaret Thatcher - my political hero - became leader of the Conservative party.
#Thatcher50
Mrs Thatcher was the epitome of hope, optimism, courage & fortitude. She inspires us every single day @cwowomen -she talked about & crucially delivered on what matters to people everyday-as our @Conservatives party under @KemiBadenoch goes on its next journey-it’s a reminder ‘the facts of life are conservative’. 💥💙
On this day 50 years ago, Margaret Thatcher was elected Leader of the Conservative Party.
The first big milestone on her journey to putting the Great back in Great Britain 🇬🇧
So proud of being a member of the Conservatives for selecting the first ever female leader, Mrs Thatcher, 50yrs today. A real role model to women. Join cwo development to see if you have what it takes. @cwowomen
Today is Ask Her To Stand Day! A campaign to get more women into politics. @Conservatives have had three women PMs & many more women council leaders across the country. If you know a woman at the heart of her community who would be a great councillor, ask her to join us & stand!

FARMERS - He said the quiet part out loud.
John Mcternan a Former special advisor to the Labour Party… says, do to farmers what Thatcher did to mining.
He states farming “is an industry we could do without…shut it down”
These people are insane 🤡

The removal of Mrs Thatchers portrait, the first ever female prime minister, is a real insult to women. Mrs T is a real modern role model for women entering politics. Or do the left think some women don’t deserve to be politicians, because they aren’t the right type?
Good to talk to @JamesCleverly about the need for a female review in the Party and hear his views. I look forward to talking to all the potential leaders.
“Only 25 per cent of Tory MPs are currently women and the new analysis indicates the ruling party is unlikely to significantly improve upon this stark gender disparity at this year’s general election.”

🔵 Out of 58 Conservative selections in seats which were held by the party in 2019 - or would have been on new boundaries - Campbell is only the 13th woman to be selected. The other 45 went to male candidates. So just 22.4% of selections in Tory seats have so far gone to women.
Great to see @PamGosalMSP
