@NeonKnightYT Actually more like 1000 years into the future. Years in the witcher universe refers to 1200 year since the conjunction of spheres so earth would be at least at year 3000 by then.
@griffin_karyl @witchernetflix I agree, this is one of the many plots that works in the books but not in the show because of all the changes they've made. In the books Yennefer is not an outcast like she is in the show, she is respected and in a powerful position.
@Nina7Infinity@LHissrich Yes exactly! This goes for the elves plot asweel. The oppression was so focused on apperance and the cultural/religious reasons for the hatred against them was left out.
@LHissrich If anything I'm a fan of you both and the conversation between you have at least made me more open minded about some decisions you've made for the show.
@GeorgeOfLydda@LHissrich @Codyyh_ @TheQuartering The world in the witcher is in another spehere than Earth and humans teleported there 1200 years before the events of the show. The source material actually emphasizes that all of the humans on the continent teleported from somewhere else so your argument doesn't work.
@LHissrich The witcher is a franchise with a huge loyal following because of how well written the characters are so of course people will be upset if you change them to much. I'm surprised that you didn't expect the backlash against changes like killing Eskel and having Yennefer betray Ciri
@witchernetflix You do understand that the continent is not earth and that the year 1200 in the content does not mean the year 1200 in earth? After this season I’m really conflicted about how little Netflix knows about the actual facts of this franchise
