The dart is held between her finger and thumb, as though she’s trying to figure out what’s in it. And then she slides it into one of her pockets on her belt.
“I have someone you might be interested in catching. Since I’ve already found them.”
“And I always will.”
“But you know it’s more the suture change that comes with the suit rather than the suit itself, right? I feel like that’s the difference you never did understand.”
Well, neither had she. But maybe she’d grown up a little since then.
“You, broke?”
She snorted. Not even trying to make it sound demure or any of that shit. It was a guffaw.
“I thought you were sensible enough to keep a few stashes here and there? Or did your ex really find all your little rabbit holes?”
What 𝘉𝖠𝖣 𝗟ꓴⲤ𝙆 that the dart somehow failed to deploy its dose
The Cat did yelp though, a needle stuck her right in the arm
“Do you mind?!” She squeaked, pulling it out and wondering if she’d need to go get a shot now. “I came here with a proposition for you.”
@galaxysmerc “Who’s going to tell the cat what they can’t do?”
A slow blink, almost daring him to try it.
“You show me how to fly this thing, and I won’t ever tell Rocket that you called him your cat. Deal?”
@galaxysmerc “I’m not everyone.”
“And cats go where they please.”
Not everyone just sinks into the biggest-looking chair and slouches like they’re own it, either. But there she is.
“Used to be lucky to have a cat on board back in the old sailing days. Stopped everyone getting plague.”
“They don’t call it ‘Frisky Friday’ for nothing.”
“I’m feeling frisky for some wads of cash.”
“Maybe a pearl necklace.”
“Or even better, a 𝒹𝒾𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓃𝒹 one.”
@galaxysmerc Clever boy.
You and I could really go places and make some cash, or whatever they use in space.
And have some fun along the way. I hear those long space voyages get boring.
People have claimed that I am a drunk, so what if you threw me into a tree ten times?
Gently though, I can't pay for your booze if I'm all bashed up, can I?
