I firmly agree the Covid lockdowns had a huge impact on her mental well-being and on the children I teach.

Advice if possible. My daughter (16) has 15 hrs of support worker time a week funded through s.117 funding after a 6m inpatient stay. Social care don’t want to fund anymore but we and the support workers feel it is invaluable. How can I challenge this? @YoungMindsUK @MindCharity

@scriptwren My daughter spent her last 6 months of year 11 in an adolescent psychiatric ward and took her exams there and at home. We are so proud of her for even taking them and just eternally grateful that she is still here with us to collect her results this morning 🥰

@YoungMindsUK Appropriate inpatient treatment facilities within an hour from home - the impact on families with a very sick child hours away is huge. Joined up discharge plans that continue support into the community. Support for families from professionals and wider society. Understanding.
