A proud moment at #FLL: Today, we hosted our first naturalization ceremony, welcoming 26 new U.S. citizens from 12 countries: Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Israel, Jamaica, Peru, Russia, Spain, Thailand, and Trinidad & Tobago. Celebrating this milestone during America's 250th year made it especially meaningful. Congratulations to all, and best wishes on your journey as new American citizens in @BrowardCounty and our South Florida community. Guest speakers included @browardinfo Mayor @mark_bogen, our airport CEO/Director of Aviation @markegale, and officials from the @USCIS Oakland Park Field Office @USCISMediaSouth.

New route alert! @AveloAir is adding a new destination from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to McKinney National Airport (DTX), starting Thursday, November 19. This FLL–DTX route provides the best of both worlds for South Floridians: convenient access to Dallas' metropolitan area and an introduction to McKinney's small‑town charm. ✈️ Nonstop flights will operate five times a week: Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Yesterday, we welcomed waves of La Selección Colombia fans, and their energy brought #FLL to life. With the Colombian national team playing here tomorrow night, you can feel the enthusiasm!⚽ And just in time for all this excitement . . . @avianca kicks off operations at Terminal 4 starting Monday, June 29, giving travelers even more ways to fly straight into the heart of Colombia:

• 2 daily flights to Bogota
• Ongoing service to Medellin
• New nonstop flights to Cali and Barranquilla starting July 15

Beginning Monday, June 29, @avianca will move from Terminal 1 to its new home in Terminal 4. Make sure you take a moment to check your boarding pass, follow the updated wayfinding signs, and give yourself a little extra time to reach the right departure gate with ease when visiting the Colombian cities of Bogota and Medellin. .@BreezeAirways announced a "Seriously Nice" surprise, and we are excited. The airline is launching new nonstop flights to Dayton, Ohio, on Mondays and Fridays, starting October 9. Also, #Breeze will offer service to Trenton, New Jersey, operating on Thursdays and Sundays, with one stop and no plane change, starting September 20.
