@DarbyStouffer So true. The dream and the reality for many are vastly different. After a few years, they are happy to shed rural life and embrace urban living.
Admiring the lovely campus @UVA_Wise and ran into a former stray dog dropped in Mendota that was rescued and adopted by this wonderful man. Bob, I think? What a small world. “Rosie” has won the doggy lottery! If you know Bob, please share this picture.
Behind each delivery, there are countless dedicated members of the Ferrellgas team that make it happen. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our drivers who are braving the cold to keep you warm. We appreciate you. 💙 #WinterWeather#FuelLifeSimply
@Ferrellgas Thank you for today’s Saturday delivery. With long power outages, you allow me to have heat and electricity and water with my Generac. Your delivery guy came through. Power was restored tonight and we feel equipped for next week’s upcoming storm and possible outage.
@AppalachianPowe Special thank you to the linemen working in Mendota, VA tonight. They promised power woulf return this evening and at a little after 9 pm—restoration. I know tired, cold hands working in the dark did this and I appreciate it.
@Ferrellgas My power is out and we are burning through propane with our Generac. My order was placed Thursday with deliver set for Friday or next week. If we do not get a delivery Monday and the anticipated snow arrives, we will not have heat or water (well water). Help!
@AppalachianPowe no power this morning as a tree is down with an expected 12 hr outage. You’ve got your rate increase. I don’t mind paying but trees are leaning over lines in areas in my rural community. We need to see trimming.

@Thekeksociety They are the work of a sculptor and you can google and read about the intent. Or you can make a big deal about it and attempt to stir the soup on this platform.
“Today my daughter changed her profile picture. After maybe 5 minutes I get a text..” I didn’t know she was dating a black boy, did you?
It took me all day to think up a response, which I didn’t send personally but thought I would share for anyone else that “may not know”
Yes in fact I did know, but the color of his skin doesn’t define who he is. What does define who is he is how he treats my daughter.
I see my daughter dating a boy that comes to my house and shows me nothing but respect (a big deal in my book).
It’s always Yes Ma’am, No Ma’am, we talk about football and baseball, he tells me bye when he leaves, and has not once shown me a lack of manners or respect.
I see my daughter dating a boy who treats her good. He takes her on dates, to ballgames, out to eat..not to a club or partying on the weekends.
I see my daughter dating a boy who takes her to church with him. Every Sunday. He plays in the band, she sits with his family. How many young men these days make church a priority?
None of the others have.
He doesn’t hit her, cuss her, lie to her, or make her cry. Would I rather her date a white boy that did, to keep from her dating another race? Absolutely not.
So that’s my response to the question I was asked.
And I know people have their own opinion, but at the end of the day, the fact that my daughter has someone that loves her and treats her like a queen makes me happy. That’s something I’ve never had in my life and I’m glad she does.”

@alevine014 Had a little health scare last night and went to Bristol’s ER. The ER was not crowded. Very clean. The staff was proficient, nice and seemed genuinely interested in my well-being. Dr. Chang exuded both confidence and competence. We’ll done!
