Jordan Belfort finally explained what “Sell me this pen” really tests, and most salespeople fail it in 1 sentence.

The moment they hear the line, they start pitching. The pen is great, it writes upside down, it’s the best value for the money. To Belfort, that’s the clearest sign someone doesn’t understand selling.

The right answer doesn’t mention the pen at all, at least not at first.

A fan in the audience asks Belfort to sell the pen. He jokes that no one has ever asked him that before, then explains what the test is really for: before you pitch anything, you ask questions. How long have you been in the market for a pen? What have you used before? Is it for business or personal? How much do you usually spend?

Pitching without asking, Belfort says, tells the buyer you don’t give a shit about them. You’re just ramming the product down their throat.

The questions also tell Belfort who to walk away from. If someone says they’re not looking for a pen, he says “Great, have a nice day” and moves on. To him, the biggest rookie mistake is trying to sell to everybody.

Only then does Belfort pitch: “Based on what you said to me, this pen is perfect. Let me tell you why.” And the pen, he says, is just a stand-in for any product.

Rookies sell the pen. Pros sell what you just told them.

Be honest: would you have pitched the pen, or asked the first question?

AIPAC announced Wednesday it will stop endorsing candidates, stop giving directly through its PAC, and stop earmarking member donations.

DON'T BE FOOLED. This is brand protection, not a change in strategy.

The PAC was the small change. It could give a candidate $5,000. Their super PAC, United Democracy Project (UDP), keeps running. It has spent more than $83 million this cycle, including over $30 million in a single Michigan Senate primary.

A super PAC has no spending limit and doesn't need the candidate's permission. Its attack ads often never mention Israel. Voters see a hit piece on crime or taxes and never learn why it was paid for.

That's the point. An AIPAC endorsement has become a liability now that people are seeing what it stands for. Now a candidate can say "AIPAC didn't endorse me and didn't give me a dime" while UDP spends millions on threir behalf.

It's the same money, just with fewer fingerprints and harder to trace.

It goes deeper.. when you really really really really get it.. when you innerstand the whole consent rule…There is a plethora of humans who love to go to the movies to see horror films, watch entertainers walk around with blood pouring all over them.

As they watch it in the movie theater or sitting at home they give consent by their desire to consume that type of content. The consciousness of each individual that does this gets amplified and so they continue to give it to you on the silver screen and behind the scenes in real life all because you wanted to see it.

If everybody in the world stop watching the content, the consent would stop and this thing would stop... but that won't happen because no one ever gets this type of secret information and even if they did.. they haven't done their shadow work so they're just gonna say"it's just theater".

Theater or not I have not given my consent and I don't watch any of it... you better think twice.

Hollywood is so much darker than it appears to be… if you think this is too extreme and there’s no way that your favorite idols could be committing such horrific crimes, how many “elite” PDFile rings need to be exposed for you to see the truth?

They tell us what they are doing in plain sight, but we don’t want to believe them. So we take it as comedy or fiction.
