@gabe_creative Maybe she may really lost her job or even her life if she is not good enough. It is not common to see this in our culture as we may just work for money but not for our country .
@gabe_creative I think she meant what she said and she was really sorry about not doing well and enough for her country. Maybe the business style of North Korea are mostly state owned enterprise and with the propaganda, she may feel shame because she is not good.
@gabe_creative No one can make a pencil by themselves, and HK provides a place and labour to make the pencil.Materials can be come from all around the world and HK is a place that brought them all together.
@gabe_creative At one point that a man in red is running from a very old district to a side full of skyscraper makes me think that it maybe the reason why this film have such a setting. Hong Kong is a mixture of old and new.
@gabe_creative At first, it is a bit confusing to see the transformation from the high-tech scenario into a typical Hk street. There is a great contrast between the man who is throwing his garbage and the man who is tracing after someone.
@gabe_creative she is dancing with an English song and there is a name tag in front of her clothes. The audience are all focusing to her and some of them open their mouth up.
@gabe_creative The background is rather dark. We can also see a big screen writing"The Unit"at the back. Everyone is in a casual wear. So, the first girl with a pink shirt go up and everyone is chanting and cheering for her
@gabe_creative It's a bit like the very old game arcade in HK, very tightly packed. It is loud and noisy because they can't make any noise at their home otherwise they will be complained.
@gabe_creative As a Hong Konger, the line "a skirmish breaks out between the student protesters and riot polices" makes me think of HK. The way how the police expel protesters(firing tear gas and launching water cannon) also echoes to hk(police) culture.
@gabe_creative It looks like "Gotham city" and the US as there are many
skyscrapers and the motorbike of Akira is very similar with Robin's. We can also see some Japanese elements in their clothing and school.
