U.S. REP. MIKE HARIDOPOLOS DELIVERS $20M FEDERAL GRANT TO PORT CANAVERAL: U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos (FL-8) held a press conference today at Port Canaveral to herald the U.S. Department of Transportation’s awarding of a $20.21 million Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant to the Canaveral Port Authority (CPA) to expand capacity at two of the Port’s busiest cargo berths. The PIDP grant will support a $37.43 million Port project to upgrade North Cargo Berths 1 and 2, which serve tanker vessels carrying refined petroleum products critical to supplying Central Florida region’s transportation system.

CELEBRATING LOYALTY: We are proud of our dedicated team members and took time during a recent meeting of our Board of Commissioners to recognize several longtime employees for their years of service.
Honorees included Lisa Botzenmayer, Senior Specialist, Cruise and Cargo Operations, and Jerry Martinico, Automation Controls Technician, each celebrating their 15-year anniversaries with the Port; Bob Musser, Senior Director – Environmental who was recognized for his 10 years of service; and Lukas Brummer, Manager – Environmental honored for his five-year anniversary.
