Hundreds of stores. New openings in moscow this year. Sanctioned goods on the shelves.

@SPARInt claims they “can’t” terminate the old licensing contracts. Experts strongly disagree.

Ending the licences would:
• Stop brand misuse & normalising aggression
• Align with Dutch government policy (“unacceptable to do business in russia”)
• Be fully possible under current EU law that better protects companies against russian claims

Putin is waging war against mothers and their children. The Russian army cannot win on the battlefield. The Russians are not strong, they are cruel. That is why they launch daily attacks on the civilian population, trying to break Ukrainians' resistance.

You can see a woman shielding a small child with her own body, trying to save the child's life. An aerial bomb struck near a public transit stop in Sumy. Yesterday, at least five people were killed, including a child, and another 30 were injured. Hospitals and schools, residential buildings and supermarkets, train stations, and other crowded places have long been targets for the Russians.

It is important to understand: the Russians continue manufacturing missiles and shells, and recruiting contract soldiers, because they still have the money to do so. By official figures alone, 40 percent of the Russian budget goes toward the war.

What needs to be done? Stop doing business with Russia and paying taxes into its budget. Refuse to buy Russian goods. Seize Russian ships transporting oil and gas in circumvention of sanctions. Hold foreign companies accountable for helping Russia evade sanctions.

Strike at the Russian economy's ability to finance this bloody war.

Alwaar 10 juli, met de NL gasopslagen nog niet eens 30% vol. Over de redenen voor voldoende gasopslag de nodige misverstanden. Een poging:

1. Regulier: Gasproductie en -import is overwegend baseload, terwijl de NL/EU gasvraag in een gemiddelde wintermaand 2x groter is dan in de zomer.
2. Bijzonder: Sommige winters zijn flink kouder dan gemiddeld, sommige winters hebben veel minder wind en zo nu zijn er technische issues waardoor bijvoorbeeld een LNG terminal een tijdje niet functioneert. In die gevallen is meer gas uit opslagen nodig dan normaal.
3. Strategisch. Eens in de zoveel jaar zijn er grote onvoorziene verstoringen op de wereldmarkt zoals het uitvallen van Nord Stream en afsluiting van de straat van Hormuz. Een strategische gasopslag maakt minder kwetsbaar en tevens, maakt het voor derden minder aantrekkelijk hun strategische marktmacht te benutten.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden rondom de leveringszekerheid van gas (ook van elektriciteit) zijn niet of nauwelijks geregeld in de energiewet. Gevolg is dat de drie genoemde zaken/taken door elkaar heen lopen. Zowel in discussies, in studies, als ook in de gasbusiness.

We weten al lange tijd dat Groningen dicht zou gaan, dat Nederland importafhankelijk zou worden, en dat GasTerra zou verdwijnen. Het dringende advies van de Mijnraad is ook al weer een jaar oud. Helaas wordt het toegezegde (gedegen) plan van aanpak door KGG wordt keer op keer uitgesteld. De planning is nu september. Ondertussen zijn de NL gasopslagen leger dan ooit. Het risico is voor de samenleving. Wordt vervolgd.

@NOELreports An airfield not guarded by Gepard-like systems is bad news. Probably out of scarcity and/or operational necessity they operated the airfield anyway. Still, an ISTAR drone wouldn't be in airspace guarded by such systems.

-terms of peace deal turn out to be unacceptable for Ukraine
-everybody panics, meanwhile Trump moves military forces to the Caribbean, nobody notices.
-Zelensky rushes to European allies for crisis meeting
-Americans push through on deal, Vance will make backhand comment about Ukraine for being "non-cooperative" or "ungrateful"
-Television studios will broadcast back-to-back coverage of potential peace deal, round table discussions, live White House correspondents.
-American troop build-up in Caribbean remains unnoticed, media prefers to cover comments from the Oval Office over massive troop movements.

Until at last sometime by the end of summer:
-Trump bombs Cuba, everyone surprised
-Talking heads on TV: 'nobody saw this coming'
-peace deal with Russia never mentioned again
-repeat again sometime in the fall.
