I’m a fan of Caitlin.
I’m also gay.
The idea that she’s some threat to queer women is nonsense.
It’s disingenuous, performative, and just desperate for attention.

If you need to invent danger where none exists, maybe look at the actual systems harming queer women instead of projecting it onto a basketball player who’s done nothing to deserve it.

Violence, discrimination, harassment, legislative attacks
Those are real dangers.
Those ruin lives.
Caitlin Clark has done none of that

If you genuinely think Caitlin Clark is the danger gay and queer women need to worry about, you’re not defending queer people, you are being unintelligent, ignorant and insincere.

You’re ignoring real queer women dangers so you can perform outrage at a woman who’s guilty of nothing except playing basketball.

It’s unserious. It’s embarrassing. And it’s exactly the kind of lazy, performative activism that does nothing to actually make meaningful change.
