Chapter 2 will be released publicly as an extended free preview, but future chapters beyond Chapter 2 are planned to be part of the paid full release.

Even if development funding improves, we currently don’t plan to make the remaining main story chapters free. We want the free content to serve as a substantial preview, while the full game supports the continued development of Emberbound.

After the main game is completed, we also plan to release additional DLC content.

We’ve received a few questions recently, so we’d like to clarify how future Emberbound releases will work.

Chapter 1 will remain available as a free demo, and in the coming days we’ll also make Chapter 2 publicly available as an extended preview.

We’re doing this to give more players a better look at the game’s current quality, presentation, and overall direction, while also helping us reach more people and raise additional development funding. This is very important for the project as we continue working toward the full release.

Future chapters beyond Chapter 2 will not be released for free. They will be part of the full paid version of Emberbound.

We’ve also started sending Steam keys to eligible Patreon supporters today.

We haven’t finalized the exact format yet, but it may include extra stories and other additional content beyond the main storyline.
