@George3dCPA @nukedwest @Browtweaten Well, in the current system, on communicating with friends/family and convenience store type foods. And as others said, they aren’t there forever; the ability to save for their return to real life would benefit everyone.
I want Tamora Pierce to be my cool aunt, or neighbor, or something. So glad I can continue recommending SOME treasured series from my childhood to new readers with no caveats. ♥️
I love all my fans. All of them. Everyone is welcome in Tortall and Emelan, especially those who feel unwelcome anywhere else. I'm forever grateful to have met so many brave, wonderful, and interesting people through my books. Each one of you inspires me.
@WordPressiOS I can’t seems to edit my site either in the app or in web browsers on my iPad. What gives? Is there a tutorial on this that I’m missing somewhere?
@ChingedyChing@cthulhu8books@redditships @legaladvice_txt Of course in this case the neighbor is intentionally moving the creek, so if their real estate law DOES stipulate the mid-point boundary I would assume they have a very good chance of forcing him to buy the land he has essentially moved to his property. (2/2)
@ChingedyChing@cthulhu8books@redditships @legaladvice_txt Rivers and creeks are a special case, it’s not like “that tree is the property line”. You typically own to the midway point as described, and erosion or build up do in face change the boundary. Depending on jurisdiction of course. YMMV. (1/2)
You know that moment in horror movies when there’s the sound of running feet where there shouldn’t be, and then the lights won’t work? Well, either there’s a wild animal in my house or shit’s about to get real. 😬
@evtofficial Oof. Even if we pretend this is 1800 and we don’t know better it’s grammatically weird. Why would you NOT rewrite those lines?
(And thank you. My over tired brain did not once think “We could just Google the lyrics”)
@evtofficial I’m aware that calling people oriental is not acceptable. My confusion is about the word “orient” more generally. Does the song say some version of “oriental person”?
@RandyTreibel@SteveBHolt 1. Typically time off options are 4hrs or the whole day 2. If you take 4 hours off and traffic is bad, the bus is late, etc etc now you’re late and penalized. 3. The cost of getting first to your appointment then to work for 4 low-paid hours can outweigh the 4 hours’ income
@NJGeneralsUSFL @kajicokun @pennjillette Meaning OP doesn’t need the enticement of a glass to want to meet them. A rebuttal to “now you have a reason...”.
Got my new @WarbyParker glasses today and they’re super cute and all but... Absolutely unwearable. There’s a pronounced fish eye lens effect. Driving is out of the question and walking is unpleasant. :(
@gillidactyl I believe the idea is that the term “homeless person” defines a human being by their lack of a home, where the longer phrase positions it as a temporary situation instead who they are. Much like “enslaved person” vs “slave”.
