Happy #FlumeFriday !
Recently took a family trip to Santa Cruz and came across this amazing Karst flow coming through a cliff. Check out the sediment separation and scour/deposition patterns, bedforms, jumps and standing waves! @geoMOOREph@ISUWaterChicks@drbillyjbeck
We had a great @ISU_ABE 110 lab "Experiencing Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering" with a sluice gate - hydraulic jump exercise today, examining the Froude number and flow characteristics in the Buss Hydrology Lab #Flume.

It might be cold outside but it’s toasty warm inside and students in ABE’s Nonpoint Pollution & Control class are getting experience collecting flow measurements in the ABE hydrology lab. @ISU_ABE @FlumeAndy @LeighAnnLong2
@NatalieGNelson @anardeeek Totally dependent on budget, time available per visit, what it is you're looking for, measurement environment etc. I would be happy to discuss in detail. [email protected].
Congrats 🎉to Andy Craig AKA @FlumeAndy 🌊on the successful defense of his PhD dissertation showing that Prairie Strips🌻🐝🦋reduce fecal indicator bacteria🦠! @ISU_ABE@prairiestrips

New in @AGEjournal: Organic C is mostly stored in deep #soil & only affected by land use in its superficial layers, A case study. #Forage species & summer management impacts on soil C and N in grazing systems. https://t.co/bR6rzNP6T1
