@KashgarMuscle@Bram_R@ryangrim@hasanthehun It’s hilarious how YOU don’t have the basic facts right. 9/11 as blowback is a fringe position. Not one singular serious scholar on the topic agrees with it.
@echochamberbad@PurpStickyRice@doing_emails@admcrlsn Not sure how any of my responses would indicate that I’m unstable.
I’m about to head to a bar in Brooklyn to watch the Knicks game with my friends cuz, ya know, I’m actually a New Yorker
Stop commenting on things you know nothing about. Take care!
@echochamberbad@PurpStickyRice@doing_emails@admcrlsn Yep, I’m sure you care deeply about the people of NJ-12, and the dopamine hit you got from seeing the ideology you signed up for last year seemingly vindicated (or whatever you think that win accomplishes) has absolutely nothing to do with it!
@a_luffa@thealfordplea@labormilitancy@ryangrim@hasanthehun I mean the whole point of the blowback argument is that 9/11 was a rational, justified reaction to US intervention in the Middle East….
This, of course, is a completely ridiculous position that ignores the actual origins of Islamist extremism and AQ’s ideology
@labormilitancy@thealfordplea@ryangrim@hasanthehun Nope you’re completely wrong. It’s not complete consensus at all. In fact, it’s a fringe position rejected by most serious scholars on the topic. You people are retarded
@KashgarMuscle@thealfordplea@ryangrim@hasanthehun “Completely predictable” is an absolutely outlandish thing to say. What’s the cause and effect between arming the Mujahadeen in 1979 and Saudi and Egyptian nationals flying planes into offices in 2001?
Plenty of countries have intervened in the ME, where’s their blowback?
@mitts_t@thealfordplea@ryangrim@hasanthehun I think in order to make the blowback argument work, you need to point to a specific cause and effect. You can’t just go “intervention in general.” Countless states have intervened in the Middle East, where’s their blowback! You’re clearly missing part of the story (its ideology)
@KashgarMuscle@Bram_R@ryangrim@hasanthehun Please explain the cause and effect between arming the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan in 1979 and a bunch of Saudi and Egyptian nationals flying planes into office buildings in 2001
@zekequil@Bram_R@Uncle_Ramrod@ryangrim@hasanthehun Ok but what specific foreign interventions? Where’s our blowback for Vietnam? Countless countries have intervened in the Middle East, where’s their blowback? Don’t you think you’re missing part of the story?
