"I've always looked up to Sidney Crosby ... of course he's super skilled, scores a lot of points, but I think his two-way game as well, good on both sides of the puck."
Viggo Björck talks about modelling his game after one of his idols, the #MensWorlds, and the #NHLDraft.
@Aidanneal67 I personally would not draft him, but if Wes Clark and Kyle Dubas do they see something I don't. I trust them explicitly, so we'll see, but I see a bottom-6 player at the NHL level.
With Viggo Bjorck being a huge Crosby fan, loving the Pens, and talking about them at the draft combine (a lot). Plus, the smoke that is around the Pens trying to trade up into the top-10 of the draft right now. I really feel like we may take a serious attempt at getting him in a couple of weeks. He's my favorite player in this draft, full stop. He also plays for my favorite Swedish team (Djurgardens), and played with my other favorite young Swede, Anton Frondell.
I guess it depends if they want to go the Carolina route or Vegas route to contention and how soon they want to be back in contention for me. If Dubas wants a Cup he has 4 seasons to get it while he's still under contract. We could do the Vegas and trade all picks and prospects to trade our way in to contention, or we could continue drafting and hope they hit.
With the draft being 3 weeks away now, I decided to make my draft endorsements imagery for this year. Here is my dream of how I'd love to see the draft shake out for the #LetsGoPens this year. Not all of these players will necessarily be available at these pick #'s though.
Defensemen Emil Pieniniemi AND David Breazeale expected to be IN the lineup for #WBSPens for Game 5.
Add Sebastian Aho and Phil Kemp to the presumed injured list, joining Finn Harding and Alex Alexeyev. @InsideAHLHockey
