@DominicFarrell I wonder if whoever is offered the post will decide to put country before party (or ambition). We’ll see, but I expect the party with lots of smoke and mirrors.
@RDPHistory Remember speaking to some of the crew in the Mess at Waddington just after they returned. Some cool heads in that crew: from the moment of the refuel emergency, confusing Brazilian Air Traffic until landing was assured and finally using the Pope’s visit to get airborne.

@xAviation@CcibChris I remember seeing a very similar display just outside Johannesburg SA about 1974. The only difference being it was by a 747! Amazing, the SP model I think.
@clark_aviation Had my first flying lessons at Speke in 1968, remember taxiing past the big turbo props in my tiny Tri-Pacer, all before the present 27/09 runway laid down.
