Here's a little thought experiment for you on Monday morning.

Imagine Reform were in government when this happened. Imagine Farage as PM and Zia Yusuf as Home Secretary [stop laughing].

What would be their immediate response? Would Yusuf be hosting a CBRA meeting and then divulging EVERY detail to the public, as they're calling for today?

No, of course he wouldn't because it would severely hamper the investigation and the security services would immediately stop briefing them. They'd be frozen out of the loop.

When Farage and Tice post these calls that the public should know more, it shows how entirely unsuitable they are for any position of power.

These calls are nothing more than desperate attention seeking cries from failed populists.

Tech plutocrats are the high-budget expression of the “everyone is twelve now” theory. You wanna go to Mars? Of course you do, you’re twelve. You think you can merge your consciousness with machinery and unlock the key to immortality? Hell yeah my twelve year-old homie. You’re gonna invent an Artificial Superintelligence God who will solve all our problems? Bless your twelve year-old heart.

Their visions for the future of humanity are never particularly wise or intelligent. It’s just a bunch of drugged-up rich guys using their vast fortunes to chart a course for our species that would sound totally awesome to the average preadolescent boy.

You ever hear Jeff Bezos’ vision for our future? He brings it up once in a while. He wants to ship most of humanity offworld and have us all living in these giant spinning space tubes called O’Neill cylinders while only a few lucky individuals get to remain on humanity’s home planet. It’s true, look it up.

This is the best these freaks can come up with. Transhumanism. Space colonization. Virtual reality. ASI. Immortality. These are all visions which revolve around escape. Escaping from the human condition. Escaping from our planet. Escaping from reality. Running, running, running away in a mad scramble to get anywhere but here.

These aren’t positive visions for the future, they’re signs of deep psychological immaturity. They’re the symptoms of an inability to be with what is. Whenever you hear these guys bloviating about transcending our humanity or colonizing space they’re just telling you they’ve got a lot of unresolved early childhood trauma which led them to construct an entire personality around avoidance and restlessness.

They don’t know how to be at peace. Not with themselves, and not with the world. These are very emotionally primitive individuals. They are not wise. They are not kind. They are not happy. They are not even particularly smart. They just have a particular kind of cleverness which has enabled them to succeed as parasitic middle men siphoning wealth off of other people’s labor in the specific type of dystopia we happen to live in.

And yet these are the men we’re allowing to rule our world. These are the people to whom we have handed the steering wheel of human destiny. A bunch of emotionally stunted manchilds who are drowning in a nonstop internal deluge of shame and inadequacy and unresolved mommy issues.

These are the men who have become our kings, because capitalism elevates whoever is wounded enough to do whatever it takes to claw their way to the top.

You trust these guys to shepherd us into a healthy world? They can't even be here now, at peace in their own skins.

This isn’t going to cut it. We can’t led these infantile narcissists lead humanity into the future. We’ve got to create a better system for ourselves.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT - Yesterday, I made a serious mistake while trying to register the domain name https://t.co/5HfZlm0JR7, and instead of directing all web traffic from it towards an appeal to help the recently arrested Danny Tommo, all visitors were sent to my RNLI appeal for The Flying Farage instead and it’s jumped up to £397,173.

Upon realising my mistake, I tried to log back into the control panel provided by the domain name company, but I couldn’t find the piece of paper that I wrote the password on.

Upon further investigation, I learned that my eight-year-old had turned it into a paper plane and it had flown out of the back door and into the garden, where a waiting badger picked it up and then ran off to use it as bedding in his sett.

They can be quite vicious apparently so I didn’t want to try and get it back in case it scratched me, and so I’ve been trying to guess the password.

I’m pretty certain that it’s 26 random characters long but with the word ‘frenulum’ in the middle, but until I’ve figured it out the domain name will have to take people to my RNLI appeal instead.

BREAKING: Tucker Carlson reveals a jaw-dropping private conversation he had with Trump in which he warned him that the Iran War would destroy America and Trump said: "We all die anyway, so it doesn't matter."

"I'm in an unusual position because I talked to Trump," Carlson told Steve Inskeep of the NPR Newsmakers podcast.

The former Fox News host has become one of the President's fiercest critics over the past year, with his most vociferous attacks aimed at the disastrous, pointless war with Iran.

"But you've quoted him as waving off the risk by saying it'll all be fine which could almost—" said Inskeep of Trump's posture towards the conflict.

"You want to know what he said?" replied Carlson. "I'll tell you exactly what he said and I haven't said this but I'm just gonna tell you. And this is a fact. And I could look at my calendar but I had flown back from Tel Aviv from Ben Gurion Airport after seeing the ambassador and two days later I was in the Oval with Trump alone."

"And he was annoyed that I had given Huckabee a hard time in this whole conversation about Huckabee and I said your U.S. ambassador — and as the son of an ambassador — I know what the job entails," recounted Carlson. "And your ambassador, your representative to this nation just called for rearranging the Middle East and allowing Israel to take parts of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria. Like this is a diplomatic incident and so we had this whole conversation about this."

"But then I said this war is not about Iran's nuclear program, which you told me and the world that you eliminated back in last summer, in June," Carlson continued. "This war is being pushed by Israel with three aims..."

"One, its own regional hegemony. Take Iran off the map. They don't have freedom of movement as long as Iran is a regional power.

"Two, diminishing the power of the GCC, the six Gulf states which are a rival to Israel and are becoming this kind of Switzerland of the Middle East and that's bad for Israeli interests."

"And three, getting the U.S. out of the Middle East because we constrain their ambitions, getting our bases out, destroying our bases. Israel wants our bases out of the Middle East. I said this to Trump to his face in the Oval Office days before the war began," said Carlson.

"And he looked at me and said 'Yes, you're right. But in the end we all die anyway, so it doesn't matter.' That's exactly what he said 'In the end, we all die anyway,' and I said to him, shocked, 'But what about our kids and our grandkids and like our country and he goes 'Uggggh.'"

"What does that mean?" a perplexed Inskeep asked of the bizarre, dismissive noise.

"I don't know! That's a verbatim exchange," said Carlson. "And you know as God watches I said that. I thought it was true then and I think it's been proven true now."

"The goal was to get the U.S. out, to diminish the GCC, and obviously to take Iran off the map and sink it into permanent internal strife into civil war, sectarian strife," said Carlson. "And he said it doesn't matter because in the end we're all dead anyway. And I was shocked by that because it's nihilism and that's the last thing any leader should display or any person should display. It does matter. Who lives or dies does matter. The future does matter."

As horrifying as Trump's anti-human remarks are, they are perfectly in keeping with his personality. This man is an egomaniacal sociopath. He doesn't believe in God, doesn't believe in the rule of law or right and wrong. As far as he's concerned, the world ends when he dies. He couldn't care less what happens to the rest of us.

It's also not the first time that Trump has given the world such an unvarnished look into his nihilistic worldview. In a 2004 interview with Larry King, he shared similar sentiments—

"I try and tell myself it doesn't matter. Nothing matters. If you tell yourself it doesn't matter, like you do shows, you do this, you do that and then you have earthquakes in India where 400,000 people get killed," said Trump. "Honestly, it doesn't matter. That's how I handle stress."

Within this kind of moral framework (or lack thereof) Trump's entire life makes sense. Since he believes in nothing, he has chosen to indulge in every cruelty and evil imaginable. He spent his time on this Earth ripping people off, sexually abusing and raping women, allegedly including children, and then used the powers of the White House to slaughter countless people overseas.

If the Devil exists, this is what he looks like.
