Team Push 5’10 2027 Tashawn Cuffee (Western Branch HS) mixes quick, slashing drives to the rim with the ability to knock down the jumper from anywhere on the floor at a high rate. Tashawn can blow by his defender in a flash and does a nice job getting his shot in traffic and converting around the rim. He can best you from deep with the jumper and is near automatic out of catch and shoot action. He hits the 1 and 2 dribble pull-up and also does a nice job using step backs to creat separation from his defender. A threat as both a passer and a scorer on the move. Tashawn brings great energy on both ends of the floor. A name to watch for!! I’ve watched a ton of first session games across Nike EYBL, Adidas 3SSB, and Under Armour UAA. Here’s my honest takeaway:

Nike EYBL has the most talented and most skilled players, no debate. But there’s also a lot of low IQ basketball at times. Felt like I was watching the Houston Rockets every game. A lot of talent, a lot of chaos.

Adidas 3SSB has the best pure basketball product. High IQ plays, strong structure, and real offense being run. It looks the most like college basketball.

Under Armour UAA feels like a mix of both, but those kids play the hardest. There’s a real earned-not-given edge to that circuit. Tough, hungry players that compete like they’ve been overlooked their whole lives.

Nike has pros. (They also have the best shoes)

Adidas has the best watch for a basketball junkie.

UAA has that chip-on-the-shoulder feel.
