A la vue régulière des commentaires sous mes tweets et de ceux qui en France, parlent de la guerre en Ukraine, on remarque vite comment le discours russe est bien installé.

Que ce soit par anti-américanisme/OTAN primaire, opposition à l'UE, ou fascination pour la Russie, on retrouve ce courant partout. Dans les médias, l'armée ou la société civile, la perméabilité au discours russe est très importante.

Ce discours russe repose sur des agents russes présents en France, des médias et des politiques. Beaucoup, à gauche comme à droite s'opposent à l'influence américaine en France et en déduisent qu'il faut s'allier à Moscou. En réalité, on peut très bien être opposé à l'influence américaine (comme je le suis) sans pour autant manger dans la main russe.

Le pire, c'est que l'admiration pour la Russie et le biais pro-russe sont présents autant à gauche qu'a droite. Les deux milieux les plus infiltrés sont les souverainistes (surprise !) et les communistes. Suivent, ce qui est complètement illogique, les conservateurs, nationalistes et identitaires ainsi que les décoloniaux, anarchistes ou insoumis.

Au passage, évitez de perdre du temps à débattre avec la bande d'anonyme qui n'existe qu'en ligne et qui va venir déblatérer en commentaires à quel point la Russie est un pays formidable, non perverti, notre allié suprême qui est en train de vaincre l'armée ukro-nazo-sionno-otano-européenne en Ukraine.

23 years ago tonight, in an Oval Office address, George W. Bush announced the start of the Iraq War.

4,492 American service members were killed in the years that followed. 32,292 were wounded.

At least 200,000 Iraqi civilians died. The humanitarian impact was immense.

America wasted 9 years and 3 trillion dollars on a war that never should have happened—a war predicated on a lie, pushed by warmongering neocon politicians, and paid for by everyday people.

Imagine what that $3 trillion could have bought here at home. Imagine the decade we could have spent focusing on America, our people, our place in the world. Imagine the lives our service members, stolen from us, would have lived. But instead, the president took us to war. Yet another costly quagmire in the Middle East.

I voted against the Iraq War. I knew the White House would lie to Members of Congress and voters alike to manufacture the pretext for a conflict—and they did.

Now, Iran is shaping up to be Iraq 2.0—new lies, new bloodthirsty politicians, still paid for by American families. Yesterday, we learned that Trump wants another $200 billion for his war. That's after Congress already gave the Pentagon more money than it even asked for in the budget.

Enough is enough. It is not too late to learn from the past. Stop this madness. Bring our troops home. End this war.

While testifying today in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard contradicted claims made by Israel and the Trump Administration both prior and since the launch of strike operations against Iran, stating that Iran’s nuclear enrichment program had been “obliterated” in last year’s Operation Midnight Hammer and that the intelligence community assessed there has been no attempts to resume enrichment activity by Tehran. Gabbard further states that it is not the job of the intelligence community to determine what is and isn’t an “imminent threat,” but instead the job of the President.

Yesterday Mariam Khan (@MKhan47) was the TV pool representative aboard Air Force One, meaning she was there on behalf of all the major networks. Khan brought up the fact that "your PAC put out a fundraising email" using photos taken at a dignified transfer of US service members killed in Kuwait. She asked: "Do you think that's an appropriate email to send?"

Trump said yes, and that he didn't see the email, then defended himself, then asked, "Who are you with?"

Trump genuinely didn't recognize Khan — it was actually her first time aboard Air Force One with him. (She reported from Capitol Hill for ten years and recently switched beats to cover the State Department, Pentagon and foreign affairs.)

When she answered Trump's question and said ABC, he said, "I don't want any more from ABC," and looked around the plane for other questioners.

But Khan was undeterred. She tried asking about the deaths of US service members. He didn't respond. She later said, "Can you explain why we’re sending 5,000 marines and sailors?" and he replied with the shush, adding, "You're a very obnoxious person."

Khan kept trying — recognizing, again, that she was there on behalf of CNN, Fox and other networks. She asked about the Pentagon investigation into the missile strike at the school in Minab, Iran. He said, "We don't know." She asked about the deaths of service members again. He ignored her.

Khan was exemplary. She was, as one ABC colleague said, "steady as can be." She was respectful and persistent. She refused to be shushed.

If Trump nuked Iran today, most American democrats would shrug and say "this will really hurt him in the midterms"...

And when the midterms roll around, and if they happen, democrats will barely win and the US will still unconditionally support Israel.
