@southamptonfc season ticket holder for 12+ years

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@FlounderMode Obvious reason Sulemana & dibling aren’t in is because of match fitness, makes complete sense if they’re unfit

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@AlexComber_ That injury 11 years ruined what could’ve been a great career at the top level. Only wish him the best

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@Saints1885_com We need to pack the midfield to stand a chance. Aribo gets absolutely mauled in a midfield 2

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@sorrellh @AJPfx_ Ryan Manning isn’t a left back, he’s pretty much an out and out attacking wingback, who is pretty rubbish at defending

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@HarryStokes_93 @SFCTom123 Completely agree he’s an asset next year, and probably will be given he’s just signed a new deal…but it would be good to see an overhaul, given that we need to look more long term. Smallbone, Armstrong, manning the sort of players we need to sell to up the standards.

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@joemaston_ Only a matter of time, the saints timeline live recency bias

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@StuHack73 @summa26_ Absolutely. I didn’t have an issue with them staying in the picture as squad players, given their age & value, so long as we signed some quality replacements, but we invested the money in players like archer, BBD, Edwards & Sugawara, who are no closer to PL level

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@Joedowd777 @SouthamptonFC @premierleague @rollbit Definitely not a natural centre half, but I prefer him in a back 3 than playing wingback for sure.

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@AmorimEra_ Absoutely brilliant pass, won you the game despite being second best for the most part (with a bit of help from Southampton and their weekly capitulation)

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@JesseJe78988 Bree at left fullback is ineffective, Fernandes is great, but we can’t trust him in a midfield two. Completely agree about archer

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@BKyle19976 @SFCMikeKavs I think last season taught us the complete opposite though. Downes currently playing at a much higher level tbf

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@a11en222 @JtaylorITK Yeah he technically was, noted in a few interviews now. Just had to sit in the stands because of his RTW in the UK

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@SaintsExtra @YesWeCrann He’s been great for them, but making the imiediate step up after a few months of performing well at that level makes no sense. Unless it is completely urgent, I see no point

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@Archinho_ @AlfieHouseEcho Don’t hate him, but as a club record signing, there’s nothing he can do in an FA cup match that will redeem how poor he has consistently been for us. Attitude has been quite a clear and obvious issue also. Today changes nothing. Lovely finish & setup for TD

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@jforrsure @_AlexOliva_ @TheStatsSaint Had that one bookmarked did you?

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@hasfabulous Tella, Alcaraz & brooks barely featured at all, apart from his performance in the semi final. The squad will be in as good a position as it was 2 years ago.

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@Totitu18 @DanSFC94 So they aren’t supposed to sign him because we got heavily beaten on the wk?

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@Gordonturner3 @FlynnJonas2 It was so much more enjoyable to watch, but the club will take a huge financial downturn if we’re there for several years

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@FlounderMode @DanSFC94 The business last summer was to help us bounce back from the championship. Which in fairness, we did. It’s the last window that let us down.

[TheKingslandPost @FlynnDownes4]

@lambsfcf @SargetheSaint That’s fair though, how were we to know that he was so incredibly unfit…
