Wuthering Waves 3.6 Story Review
Writing 9/10

Quest Area and other parts of the quest: 10/10
Visuals 10/10
- I like how they connected the outro and intro of the story together with the cast we spent time with in 3.5. You see what I did there?
- Qingxiao's introduction was fantastic, and I'd say it was one of the best introductions we've had. However, I felt her overall arc was stretched out a little too much. Some of the backstory sections could have been condensed to improve the pacing. I'm not really into cultivation themes, but I really enjoyed experiencing them through Wuthering Waves' perspective. It felt almost like a magical interpretation of Buddhist-inspired themes, and I loved it.
- The quest areas honestly started to feel like a chore. Traveling from point A to point B while repeatedly doing similar objectives became boring quite quickly. It was fine at the beginning, but eventually the repetition started to hurt the experience.
- Jingran's screen time was around 20 minutes out of the roughly five-hour quest, including his segue. Because of that, I don't want to judge him too harshly yet. However, I feel like the story tried to establish his relationship with Rover without giving him enough time to develop. He basically shows up, helps Rover, and leaves. Kuro usually does a great job going in-depth with the characters they introduce, so I think this was a missed opportunity with Jingran. That's probably my biggest criticism.
- Hsin is still a mystery to us, but seeing her in action was enough to satisfy my curiosity for now. I'd definitely like to learn more about her in the next patch.
- I also like how they've set up the future of the story and left several threads that could bring back some of the older cast, such as Yinlin
#WutheringWaves #WuWa
- harem gacha for target audience is ready!
- eww, what's this? this isn't what i ordered
- did you order harem gacha?
- no, I ordered yuri slop
- THEN IT'S NOT YOUR GACHA
Heartbreaking news----
Genshin Impact has added "Vfx slop" too in their recent Snezhnaya lineup
Players complaining about VFX slop will have to quit the game they so dearly love it seems
There wouldn't be any double standards, right? 😔😔

Been saying it for years now.
Most genshin players are just so ahh at actual games outside of genshin and hoyo finally proved my point when they added a mode that actually requires the most basic skillset required in modern action gaming and players are losing their shit.
Genshin players aside.
Anyone (gamer/or no gamer) who is against the most basic qol (skip button) in a video game with variety of content besides story, has to be extremely brain dead
