The three row just wasn't going to cut it today. First time this thing has ever seen non gmo corn. 2 acres of open pollinated bloody butcher red corn for whiskey/bourbon/bread going in the ground. Toward the end you can see the plot we tested it on last year thats now sweet corn
I didn't have much experience prior to Flyover of working directly with customers and overseeing a small team. Receiving a review like this shows we're on the right track. I may be TOO involved at times, but I'm really proud of our team and the experience/service we can provide.
What an opportunity! We had a great time on the The Shark Farmer podcast with @sf28430 talking all about returning to the farm, generational dynamics, Flyover, and more!

@ruralmidiowa@Cornfrmr If you want to start a new distillery you either have to be okay running and tending a bar or you have to be okay building a small ethanol plant and warehouse. New startups are a money pit. Regulation, excise tax, and distribution eats guys up.
@MorkFarmsMN 6 months is generally the max lead time from time of order to delivery of the finished whiskey, but most have been around 4-5 months. New crop harvest can be finished in time for Christmas, but spots are limited.
