I’ve told a handful of folks and some word has gotten around, it’s taken me a bit to finalize everything but it’s time to say that Flypaper has run its course as a lit journal.

Cleveland and Northeast Ohio poets!
Starlight Elsewhere is back in October to celebrate the release of Personal Problem by @nicetryofficer!
Remember to test before coming and mask!
But honestly, if you have it in your heart to donate a big chunk, I’ll edit a whole book for you.
Not gonna define what a big chunk is, you let your heart decide, but I really pride myself on my ability to sequence and structure a manuscript. I also adore editing full books.
If you DM me with a receipt (hopefully for a monthly sustainment pledge, but a one-time donation of any amount counts too). I (@LookingAtLilacs) will give you edits on a piece of your choosing.
(CNF and poems preferred because that’s what I know best, but fiction is ok too!)
📢 We are looking for monthly donors to cover our rent increase. Our roof needs to be replaced.
We are looking for 60 people to donate $10 a month.
Can you help? We try to keep events free & have launched a free store for the community!

Weebly: It’s like, well, I changed my mind, you didn’t pay me enough in the first place so I’m not gonna do what you paid for six months after the fact.
So apparently, despite the fact I paid for the site’s custom name in August for 1 year. @weebly is forcing us to start paying monthly for custom domains as of today.
So, are you going to deny me the service I paid for or am I getting a refund and unpublishing the site?
So not only is it finding a way to price gauge what should be a (nearly, if not totally) free service, but it’s also not doing what I paid for in the first place when trying to extract more money for it.
It’s got more info, and hopefully this isn’t goodbye forever. Friends and I still have some weird projects planned that might pop up from time to time. But I need a looooooong break. Thanks for making this wild ride so much fun.
Big love,
Joy

For those in cleveland! This is tonight! Remember to test before coming and mask up the entire time! We’ll have an air filtration device in the space as well!
In tribute to @FlypaperLit as it winds down publication, I’m sharing my favorite two poems it ever ran, by the dearly-missed-on-Twitter Devin Gael Kelly. Both of them beautiful, both of them heartbreaking.

a new year begins, a journal ends. honored to have my poem, “texts i never sent,” be the last thing @FlypaperLit puts into the world. https://t.co/TaAlKFeUs7
beyond grateful to the brilliant @FlypaperLit for publishing my favorite poem. https://t.co/9OoIakhygN
happy new year + all love to those still hanging around here ♡
Thanks for the love you’ve shown Flypaper. It was something I treasured a lot at times. I’m grateful for this space.
Hope your planes get to where they’re going without too much turbulence ✈️ Joy signing off.
This is one of my favorite poems we’ve put out into the world. It’s a fitting end to Flypaper’s run as a lit mag. More details to come, I’ve still got a lot of folks to email and etc. but the announcement will be posted in the coming week.
