20 years of ‘ATL’
A true coming-of-age film when I was 16.
I fell in love with skating starting at Sparkles (Riverdale) then we got Cascade in 2000!
The skating rink truly made my middle & high school years amazing from the upstairs teen club to the 2am lock-ins.
Wow, I didn’t expect this to blow up like this.
The importance of reading and learning is still something I value even at 36.
I still believe, “I CAN DO ANYTHING!”
I love my local library and I still watch PBS programming as an adult!
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER 📺 📚
I grew up as a PBS Kid before we got cable!
If you watched shows like ‘Barney & Friends’ ‘The Magic School Bus’ ‘Reading Rainbow’ ‘Lamb Chop’s’ and ‘Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?’, you’re probably far off in life 🙃
Hey, it’s us.
We knew Jovita Moore’s story, but we truly had no idea how much this specific mural meant to the community of Atlanta. Unfortunately, the windows in our buildout cut into the mural significantly. Seeing how much this mural meant to so many, we realize we made a mistake and would like to make it right. Would you be willing to connect with us? We want to hear from people who have a deep connection to her and her story.
