Kotkan Jäntevä FM20

Trying a challenging #FM20 save. Our goal is to get an amateur team from tier 5 of Finnish football to the top. Only realistic transfers and Better AI mod!

Now Jäntevä didn't produce Pukki. They were formed in 1940 and their biggest achievement is coming second in the 1953 Finnish Championship table, only to lose the deciding one leg Final against VIFK. Hopefully we can fulfill the dream was not to be 67 years ago. #FM20

In the end there is not playoff. 🤷‍♂️So its off to Kakkonen. Glad we were able to pull the promotion off after all! Phew! #FM20

Here is the final table for Kolmonen Kaakkois-Suomi. Samu Häkälä and Anton Eerola both finish with 17 goals to top the chart. #FM20

Jäntevä-KyPa 2-3. Nerves got the better of us, but we still manage to claim the no. 1 spot by goal difference. So yay! But there's still the matter of the Play-off for Promotion. 😬Hopefully, this is just a bad dress rehearsal and everything will click against Sudet. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Otavan Viesti-Jäntevä 0-6. This one was quite a beating, Eerola scores a hattrick and Häkälä a brace. But it doesn't mean a thing unless we win the championship next round. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-HapK 3-2. We nearly let this one slip, letting HaPK come from behind to within one. But in the end we clinch it and the fever is rising now. We could potentially secure a playoff spot next game, there is no automatic promotions here. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Its regen-a-clock and this time our most promising youngster is a defensive midfielder, which suits us fine, he'll probably be getting a run in the first team already before the season is done. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

IPS-Jäntevä 0-1. Moving Eerola from the wing to striker in the second half worked wonders, his chip gives us 3 important points and payback for a loss earlier this season. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Its going down to the wire, again: #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-STPS 3-0. Confident win takes us top of the league. Good performance all around, Oskari Kekkonen makes a good debut, but oh my lord what a screamer from Samuel Estlander in the dying minutes. 😃#FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Before the transfer deadline closed, we managed to extract two more players from rivals PeKa. Midfielders Elias Liljasto and the long sought after Oskari Kekkonen. PeKa have lost their chances of promotion for the year, so the boys are betting on us. Forza Posso. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

PeKa-Jäntevä 0-0. Neither team can squeeze a goal in the derby, Samu Häkälä has a chance to score in the dying moments, but it's not to be. As it stands (with 5 games to go) we are tied at the top with SavU, with them having the better goal difference. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-Union Plaani 2-1. Important 3 points against the Heinola side. Eerola is at his best in these 1 on 1 situations with the keeper his cool shot into the near corner makes sure we get the double-u. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Ri-Pa-Jäntevä 0-4. A few scrappy goals, but most importantly first goals for Nathanel Ishii and Viljami Isotalo. Now just the one point from the top and we've turned our form now into 5 matches unbeaten. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

And a major signing as well, we manage to lure Viljami Isotalo away from PeKa and now have a leader at the back hopefully for a few years. Great capture. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-Virky 4-1. Not suprisingly, we trash the as-good-as-relegated Virky and find ourselves 4th in the table, just a point from league leading HaPK. Things are very even with six teams within 2 points at the top.🤓 #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Sudet-Jäntevä 0-1. Finally a win and a clean sheet, and against the toughest opposition in the division to boot. Eerola scores with a beautiful header and things are looking up again now that we have put "Jarring June" behind us. ✌️ #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

KyPa-Jäntevä 2-2. No wins in the month of June then, Eerola scores two beautiful goals, but its only enough for a point. It's now 5 games without a win, and I'm afraid that unless we get points quite soon, we can say goodbye to promotion hopes. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Its the halfway point of the season and even though weve gone 0-2-2 in June, we are still only 4 points off the top and 1 from 2nd place. Samu Häkälä leads all scorers with 8 goals. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-SavU 2-2. Two dreadful defensive errors rescue us a point against SavU, but we almost gave away the game again. This run off bad form has to end sometime right? Next is a derby against KyPa, this one we really need to bring home. #FM20

[Kotkan Jäntevä FM20 @Fm20Janteva]

Jäntevä-Otavan Viesti 1-2. Another loss where we struggle to finish our chances. June has not been kind to us. We miss out on a shot to go top of the league and instead drop to 5th. #FM20
