How will Graham’s deep red seat get filled?

Trump is terrified.

Under state law, South Carolina Gov. McMaster can appoint a temporary replacement to fill Graham’s now-vacant seat. But because Graham was up for reelection this year, his death will kick off a sprint primary election to replace him on the November ballot.

A special primary election will be on Aug 11 with a runoff on Aug 25 to choose a new nominee. Under that timeline, candidate filing would run from July 21 to July 28.

The winner of the primary will face the Dem nominee, pediatrician Annie Andrews. And with Graham suddenly dead, she has a real shot at flipping his seat.

Andrews is a pediatrician, gun violence prevention warrior, and one of the strongest progressive voices in the state of South Carolina. It's her time.

Trump’s favorite senator is gone. Let’s replace him with a doctor who actually protects kids instead of a bootlicker for power who supports a rapist of kids.

Ukraine is giving a fully justified response to Russia striking our country and prolonging the war.
