@frenzysuun@CowboyJazzLOV69@tropicofraiskiw What are you about hahaha. There are guys who wanted be women because they wanted to, and there are guys that like guys. Two different group
@SelyanGiovanna@CowboyJazzLOV69@tropicofraiskiw Not mainly. Even some Buddhist parents can be homophobic in Thailand (rare these days). It's our cultural flexibility. (But yes, Buddhism play some role. Like the idea that if you don't like them then it's your problem not them)
@tropicofraiskiw No, but you can see gay people a lot in our media because we are the one of the most liberal in Asia (in this aspect) A lot of people have no reason to hide or shy away from being gay if they are one. That's it. Our social warmth and overall acceptance is very high
@PersonalThai Zebra crossing is 50/50 in Thailand. You can't expect 100% the cars to stop for you right away, you need to really look at the drivers face. As a Thai this is sad. And trucks? That's really risky. Truck drivers are not well-liked by Thai people on the road too tbh
@STKD_ Maybe because old Japanese culture and tradition values presentation and looks over everything else. Thai cultures are like this too, but they are much MUCH more into that idea
@mokudesuka I'm not sure how this is the case too. As a Thai I'm confused why our slurs and mocking words are our neighbour country names... (It's very rare nowadays, but when I was young it's not) For example "laos face" = unattractive face
@susradioakti@mokudesuka Sorry about that forced assimilation part. But it's not just Malay, our government forced assimilated every kind of people in Thai border hahaha. They don't care about your background, if you are living inside the border you are "Thai" (can be good and bad depends on the view)
