I know a lot of people are disappointed that Tesla hasn’t released any meaningful new information about Optimus for a while. We’re essentially in the dark about its latest progress, while at the same time watching Chinese humanoid robots perform incredible stunts at the World Humanoid Robot Games in China.
It’s hard not to wonder what Tesla has been working on behind the scenes—and when we’ll finally get a glimpse.
Wait no more! Glad to hear what @Jason said in the interview. Even though he said he couldn’t say what he saw but he did say a lot though😅
Jason:
“I saw one of the latest Optimus demos. I teased it at the beginning of the show. Can’t say what I saw, but I can tell you what I saw is better than anything I just saw at these World Games.
Optimus is going to be the greatest product ever made by humanity. It is next level. It’s being built by Tesla — you know, they ripped out the Model X and the Model S factory lines and they’re building these.
Optimus is going to… if Optimus came to these games, I would predict Optimus wins thirty-five of fifty-one contests.”
Host (right):
“What specific… why… what puts Optimus so far ahead of like Unitree or… or these companies that were showing off at Beijing?”
Jason:
“I think… you know, in addition to the hardware that I think is one and a half generations beyond these, I think the brain is like five generations behind these.
This isn’t to diss anything happening in China — they’re building legit stuff — but I think Optimus is going to be the greatest selling product in the history of humanity. It will sell and provide more value than the iPhone.
I would say iPhone is the greatest product made in the history of humanity up until this point in terms of popularity, usage… you know what I’m saying, Lon? Like utility to the… you could say the smartphone, but if you had to pick of the smartphones, you would say iPhone.
Of the robots, Optimus… I will guarantee you, we will be sitting here in ten years, and there will be one billion Optimus in the world.
I didn’t say one million, I didn’t say ten million, I didn’t say a hundred million — I said one billion. I think there’ll be one billion Optimus robots in 2036.”
Including Starbase, Louisiana, @SpaceX now has 17 Starship launch pads under development. Those 17 pads will eventually have a combined launch capacity of 15,000+ launches per year, more than twice the total number of rocket launches in all of history.
Looks like SpaceX will be building a Terabay at Starbase, Louisiana. Three massive doors to handle the increased launch cadence of 30 Starship flights per day (thousands per year).
This is going to be one hell of a launch site 🚀🚀🚀
Current @SpaceX Starship launch sites:
• Starbase, Texas
• Cape Canaveral, Florida
• Starbase, Louisiana
And this is just the beginning. SpaceX will almost certainly add more Starship launch sites in the years ahead.
Megatons to orbit & beyond is a critical piece of the K2 puzzle.
The other parts are: massive amounts of solar cell production, AI chip production, millions of humanoid (general purpose) robots and a mass driver on the Moon.
My guess is that ~1M Optimi plus ~1GW of solar will constitute the first Von Neumann Probe, a system capable of replicating itself entirely from local materials on any sufficiently large planet or moon. This would enable expansion of civilization throughout the galaxy and reaching K3.
Starbase Louisiana will ultimately have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more than 30 Starship flights per day and making it the biggest launch site on Earth!
SpaceX makes sci-fi real.
Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity.
Thank you to @LAGovJeffLandry and the great people of Louisiana for all of their support as we work together on this audacious project → https://t.co/zGKVOGSxfW
SpaceX has just officially announced Starbase, Louisiana, a new $100+ billion spaceport in South Louisiana near Pecan Island.
Construction starts in 2027, with the first Starship launch from the new site planned for 2029.
Starbase, Louisiana will be built to support thousands of Starship flights a year. This self-sustaining spaceport will have propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping capabilities, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport.
SpaceX is committed to investing at least $100 billion and creating more than 3,000 new jobs at Starbase, Louisana hiring heavily from nearby communities and utilizing Louisiana workers’ extensive experience of building complex infrastructure in their unique environment.
In Vermilion Parish, the shoreline is eroding between 3.3 and 23 feet per year. SpaceX is partnering with state and federal agencies to expand Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan and Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act projects, including Gulf shoreline protection breakwaters designed to reduce wave energy and slow loss along the Gulf edge.
$SPCX - JPMORGAN BULLISH ON SPACEX AS GROK MOMENTUM BUILDS
JPMorgan reiterated an Overweight rating and $240 price target on SpaceX, citing growing confidence in Grok’s AI prospects.
The firm highlighted SpaceX’s acquisition of Cursor, which reportedly generates around $4 billion in ARR, with 75% from businesses.
JPMorgan expects Cursor to strengthen SpaceX’s enterprise AI strategy, model training data and Grok performance.
Two things to note about this:
1) This is the first price increase for the Cybertruck Premium AWD trim since it launched almost 2 years ago.
2) Everyone that paid $60k for the Dual-Motor AWD got an absolute steal of a price. Its starting price is now $15k higher.
Tesla has just increased Cybertruck prices in the U.S. by up to 7%.
New prices:
• Cybertruck Dual-Motor AWD: $74,990 (from $69,990, 7.1% increase)
• Cybertruck Premium AWD: $84,990 (from $79,990, 6.2% increase)
• Cybertruck Cyberbeast: $99,990 (same as before)

BREAKING : Tesla has raised the price of the Cybertruck in the United States.
- $5,000.00 Increase⬆
Cybertruck Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive
- $74,990 (Before $69,990)
Cybertruck Premium All-Wheel Drive

SpaceXAI just released a new update for Grok Build.
Update to v1.0.9
Features:
• New sessions in the interactive TUI now start in auto mode by default for fewer approval prompts.
• /feedback now supports attaching images (screenshots etc.).
• The / slash menu is now ordered by recency and groups skills below commands for easier navigation.
• /workflow now accepts --agent-budget N or an agent_budget JSON field to set child-agent limits.
• /workflow now accepts --effort LEVEL or an effort JSON field to set child reasoning effort.
• MCP servers now receive a grok-cli User-Agent header so providers can attribute traffic.
• Dashboard now lets you start new agents in Auto mode via Shift+Tab.
• Workflows now appear alongside skills in the model prompt so the agent can launch them by name.
• /edit-prompt now opens an external editor from the full TUI, not only minimal mode.
• Up arrow on an empty prompt now selects queued follow-ups first instead of opening history.
• /plugin now works as an alias for /plugins in the TUI.
• Plugin-provided agents now appear in the /agents modal and can be toggled.
• /minimal and /fullscreen now switch instantly inside the running session without restarting or losing the current turn.
• The configurable status line row now appears at the bottom of minimal mode as well as fullscreen.
• grok clone now fetches only the selected branch tip by default, with --full-history for legacy full clones.
• grok clone can now reuse a matching local checkout as a linked worktree instead of always fetching from the network.
Bug Fixes:
• Subagent tasks are more resilient to temporary rate limits and will retry instead of failing immediately.
• Narrow allow rules for Bash commands now correctly permit file writes without extra prompts.
• Rules containing markdown headings now render correctly in the prompt.
• /new and /clear now preserve the last-chosen reasoning effort instead of resetting to the model default.
• Prompt dropdowns (slash, history, file search) now have consistent left alignment with the composer.
• History now shows every command, slash command, and memory note in the order you typed them.
• Collapsed tool-call rows no longer show a vertical accent line beside the status diamond.
• Hint text above the prompt now lines up with the text you type.
• Pressing Esc while peeking at a conversation from the dashboard now closes open modals instead of leaving the view.
• /copy now preserves markdown formatting such as headings and code fences.
• Sending a new message while a shell command is running now moves the command to the background instead of cancelling it.
• grok mcp add now correctly treats bare http(s):// URLs as HTTP servers instead of stdio commands.
• Plan mode no longer incorrectly blocks subagent spawns as file edits outside plan.md.
• MCP servers that share a URL but have different names are now kept as separate entries instead of being collapsed.
• Subagents and workflow-spawned agents no longer receive the workflow tool that only top-level sessions can use.
• Memory results are now presented as historical context that should be verified against live sources before use.
• Interactive grok sessions now start in ask mode by default again instead of auto.
• Minimal mode no longer truncates subagent wake-turn replies after the first token.
Performance:
• Concurrent subagents no longer trigger rate-limit errors during bursts.
• MCP server connections no longer delay session startup when many servers are configured.
