@ListerLaneCem From his brother's diary - March 25, John looked peaceful & calm in his coffin; which was of polished pine. His appearance was not pale or ghastly, but that of a starved appearance when living. As I pressed my lips on his cold forehead, there was not the slightest smell.

The Barbour family we're researching has links to @ListerLaneCem. Quote from 'A Hell of a Descent', Page 146, relating to John Norton BARBOUR. ... They buried him in a new grave at Lister Lane cemetery, near to the one that contained his brother Sam, sister Annetta and 4 infants.

@ListerLaneCem Fantastic photographs, thankyou. How sad, John Morton Barbour, and his wife Martha (nee WILKINSON) only had 5 children, all of whom died under the age of 5 years.
