@Stuartjamess@cbarson@OUFCOfficial@wwfcofficial Some residents in Kidlington moved here to get away from the current stadium. Why would they feel the need to do that? And does OUFC actually have to be based within a community to support it?
@Burrows87@oxfordismyneig1@ianhudspeth Not really. Being "pretty sure" and suggesting that all fans will drive, not to mention significant housing development in the local area soon, just doesn't provide a credible basis to assuage local residents' (me included, thx 👍) valid parking/traffic concerns.
@JamesHobbsUK @duncanlowen A stadium is not the only option if this space is available, and OUFC need to demonstrate thorough consideration of all other options before commercially developing green belt
@nickmanor@oxfordismyneig1@ianhudspeth No - we're concerned to protect local green belt (Stratfield Brake and the Triangle). That is our campaign. Repeatedly asking us for our views on other developments so you can accuse of us hypocrisy is bizarre.
@duncanlowen Well that would be nice if it were true - preferably a planet where it's recognised that not everyone actually prioritises football over all else, and values the need for green space and clean air for our kids 🤔
@colwebs@DBoufc But we were assured by fans that it would only be 30 matches a year not long ago?!! Their words, not ours... Sounds like it's being made up as we go along.
@Tassieyellow@nickmanor @BrakeOufc The question was prefaced with 'out of interest' indicating irrelevance. With so much green space lost, it's even more important to protect the triangle.
Absolutely! Local residents in the vicinity of the Triangle site must be consulted and their views included as part of decision-making https://t.co/aoX1ruSBkF
@Tassieyellow @BrakeOufc It's the people who will have to put up with excess traffic, noise, pollution, parking schemes and loss of local green space that should be consulted, not OUFC fans living in the far corners of Oxfordshire.
@BrakeOufc @rjc_oxon That would better than consulting people in the Orkneys, Seattle, Swindon and Sweden but the views of those impacted are most relevant.
@BrakeOufc @rjc_oxon Agreed- artificial and random lines make no sense. OCC has a duty to consult local residents whose live would be significantly impacted, whether they live one side of the Kidlington boundary or not.
@PaulMacca1984 @BrakeOufc Not sure democracy works like that. A fair approach is consider all those who will be significantly impacted within a given radius from the site. Bear in mind, OCC control the land not the parish councils and they must consult local residents fairly
