I rarely post on X, but felt inclined to tell @elonmusk and his brilliant team of engineers @Tesla I was astounded today when my husband took me driving in our brand new Tesla, using the full self-driving mode. It was an experience I'll remember for the rest of my life!
We drove about an hour through neighborhoods, on the highway, in heavy traffic, past dog walkers, you name it. I paid very close attention to how the car made decisions, including handling yellow lights, allowing other drivers into our lane, making hard turns, getting into correct turn-only lanes, handling four-way stop signs and tackling country roads vs. city ones. It was superb, magnificent - I was blown away!
I haven't paid much attention to full self-driving cars, even though my husband has been an optimistic fan for years. I'm now convinced this is the future.
