We are delighted to see this progress. Since 2020 we have seen demand for our uniform scheme rise. We hope the new legislation will ensure schools adapt their uniforms to be affordable for everyone
The Education Minister, @paulgivan has welcomed the Executive’s agreement to formally enable the preparation of a School Uniforms Bill by the Office of the Legislative Counsel. Once in law, the new School Uniforms Bill will require schools to place affordability at the centre of their policies.

A much needed wellness day on Saturday as we visited East Erne Empowered Women Lisnaskea for a stress management workshop followed by lunch. Thank you to Mary for welcoming us, it was great to connect with the women from Ealu Dungannon who attended too
and their sexist policies which feed a society which harms women. Who highlighted that more police on the street is never the solution.
I hope this is the beginning of our city standing up and acting to make our city safe for us all
We attended the rally on Friday night against the ongoing violence against women and girls in our city. Thank you to the Focus members who stood holding some of the pictures of the 24 women murdered here since 2020 ❤️
Grateful for the activists at Alliance for Choice Derry who ensured women were at the centre of the event. Who noted that the most violent place for women is the home. Who highlighted the failures of our political parties

Last week Focus members attended @dcsdcouncil Pathways out of Poverty event. Lots of organisations there and rich discussion on goals to work towards to improve our city. Our group attended as part of the @NIAntiPov lived experience advisory panel
