Effective boards can make a huge difference to nonprofits.
Read below for a blog post I shared with Brighter Strategies, LLC, on how to shift your board’s attitude on fundraising and improve their culture of philanthropy.
Are your development resources in line with your vision? You will be limited in your ability to get to the next level until you build your team. Can you add FT/PT staff or bring on contract resources for specific growth areas? Don’t try to do it all; nonprofit burnout is real!
Quick check-in--Are you on track for your monthly fundraising goals? Don’t forget to review your annual plan and make adjustments as needed. We know it can be tough to hit the mark, but we are here to help make it easy. We care about your goals and helping you reach them.
On #InternationalWomenDay, I’m proud to work with an all-female team of inspiring professional consultants who make things happen. We understand the issues and challenges many women face, and we will continue to partner with women and nonprofits to secure our rights!
I'm thrilled to share that I'll be speaking tonight at the Rising Tides: Together For Global Health conference. I’ll be sharing fundraising best practices and insights for small and mid-sized nonprofits to expand efforts to raise funds for global health.🌍@HCWtoday
New #Fundraising Effectiveness Project 2022 Q3 data shows continuing drop in number of donors to #nonprofits but donation amounts have kept growing. What does this mean? Loyal supporters are sticking w/ nonprofits but new/retained donors are not. More at https://t.co/AS9DVU15KX

As we get close to year-end, are your donors ready to support you again? With dismal retention rates across nonprofits, you’ve got to focus on this! Create messages about your impact: consider short pieces that are easy to understand and share highlighting those you’ve served.
There’s no doubt that your #nonprofit has a compelling story to tell, but what will resonate best with your donors? Leila Fitzpatrick from Inkwise wrote a compelling piece about inflation proofing your #yearend story on our blog below.

Great piece on the Great Salary Convergence & challenges in hiring rn. As #fundraising consultants working with #nonprofits to staff #development operations, we’re seeing this across the country. Orgs who want to dig in and not budge on salaries are getting left behind!
That means local employers in cities like Louisville and Des Moines are now competing for workers with companies from all over the country, including the ones with the biggest payrolls. And that's especially true given the labor shortage, Ito says.
