We are a research group of the University of Turin, led by Proff. Franco Cauda and Tommaso Costa. Our research is mainly directed to study #pathoconnectomics.🧠
We are trilled to share our latest review on the role of probiotics on the gut-brain axis from MRI perspective. A hot and fascinating topic with still need for consolidation due to methodological challenges w/ @JM_brain @Annachiaracrct #AcademicTwitter

Time to unveil some of the projects we have been working on 🙂 If you are at @AIPsperimentale in Torino look for our poster on the specificity of the neural correlates of lie detection and come to our talk on cognitive reserve in room B1 at 5,30pm today! @annachiara_X@JM_brain
🚨Book alert!🚨Our Prof. Tommaso Costa is out with a new book entirely dedicated to Bayesian reasoning 📖🧠 Check this out, no prior statistics knowledge needed to enjoy it!

Time for our @annachiara_X to present the results achieved during the first year of her PhD 💪So many great things done through very hard work! 🔥 Two more years ahead for consolidating and for new findings🧠 Keep on rocking Annachiara!
January opens with a new paper published 🎉 We described MACPA, an innovative application of Bayesian reverse inference to refine meta-analytic connectivity modelling, and show its application on the functional profile of the amygdala 🧠 https://t.co/oDVhtupCvr
New paper out!🚨We ran Bayesian meta-analysis of DTI-ALPS values for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Results showed robust evidence of impairment of the glymphatic system in both pathologies, although with different levels of bourden w/@EnricoPremi

Thanks to Jolanda van Hal for discussing our recent study on the gut-brain axis on Nutrition Insight! We are glad this can more easily reach interested people outside accademia too
https://t.co/yWayGxT9Sf And kudos on @annachiara_X who led the research
Thanks to all the attendees and speakers of this junior symposium on #Autism spectrum disorder chaired by our mate Donato Liloia at AIP sperimentale w/@marghe19891@LAND_IIT Gianluca Marsicano
So proud to attend a great lecture by @LindaFicco remembering when she was a very talented undergrad in our lab ☺️ Kudos and thank you for presenting one of our common researches! And thanks to the organizers of this much interesting symposium #SIPF2024
In our latest paper we addressed an open issue in VBM: the difference between volume and concentration. We showed that in #autism spectrum disorder , volume is related with memory and social functions, while concentration to sensory and executive functions

Proud and honored to receive the Premio Fasolo for communication in neuroscience! 🏆And happy to share the video that allowed me to achieve this. Although in Italian, I hope everyone can enjoy the drawing at least ☺️ @Into_brain#Cinemambiente

Applications of reverse inference to neuroimaging data has been a major topic of our Lab in the last 4 years. Here we build on this experience to summarize our thought on the possibility to use this approach to identify #biomarkers for #psychiatric disorders 🧠

Building diagnostic neuroimaging biomarkers for psychiatric disorders using reverse inference approaches: A viable route?

It's time to welcome and celebrate Annachiara Crocetta @Annachiaracrct who officially begins her PhD experience with us today, under the mentorship of Prof. Franco Cauda🥳 We are sure it will be a blast! 💪🧠
General local over-connectivity is often described as pivotal mechanism in autism spectrum disorder. However we recently found hyper-connectivity only, on a meta-analytic level.Want to learn more?Come to Donato Liloia's talk today at 4:45pm in Cappella Guinigi at #aipsperimentale
If you are at #SINS2023 and curious to learn what brain regions are selectively altered in #autism spectrum disorder don't miss @JM_brain talk in Sala Londra this afternoon! There will be MRI images and Bayesian statistics, who could miss this?! 😅😊🧠
