ChatControl 1.0 se ha aprobado pese al voto mayoritario en contra.

¿Cómo es eso posible? Gracias a un fraude democrático:

1) Los *partidarios* de ChatControl llamaron al voto para *rechazar* su medida, en vez de votar para aceptarla.

2) Activaron el procedimiento "de urgencia", que no está pensado para esto, pero fuerza a obtener mayoría absoluta en vez de simple para lograr la aprobación.

3) Varios eurodiputados estaban de vacaciones (un día antes de que empiecen oficialmente sus vacaciones, vaya tela...) y los partidarios de ChatControl sabían que era matemáticamente imposible *rechazar* su medida por mayoría absoluta

4) Por tanto, sabían que su medida no podría ser rechazada... y sería ACEPTADA

5) Esto, lógicamente, es un abuso del reglamento, una jugada absolutamente anti-democrática y debería ser anulada por el Tribunal de Justicia de la Unión Europea.

6) No sucederá. Tus proveedores de mensajería y email podrán escanear masivamente tus mensajes, incluso sin orden judicial, ni siquiera sospecha de delito.

A Taser (e.g. Axon TASER 7) is used to create a short window of control, officers are trained to reduce harm and gain control, not escalate it. Striking someone—especially repeated kicks to the head—while they are already under neuromuscular incapacitation would be considered:
•Disproportionate (far beyond what’s needed to control the person)
•High risk of serious injury or death (head strikes are among the most dangerous uses of force)
•Likely a breach of use-of-force standards such as those set by the College of Policing
In UK policing, force must be:

•Necessary
•Proportionate
•Reasonable in the circumstances (often linked to the Criminal Law Act 1967 and common law self-defence principles)
Once a person is being effectively controlled by a Taser, the expectation is to:
•Move in to restrain them safely
•Give clear commands
•Avoid techniques that could cause serious injury
Repeated head kicks would almost certainly trigger:
•Internal investigation
•Potential criminal charges
•Oversight by bodies like the Independent Office for Police Conduct
There are extremely rare scenarios where higher force might be justified (e.g. immediate threat to life that cannot be controlled otherwise), but combining a Taser with repeated head strikes would be very difficult to justify under UK law or policy.

Ok, I looked into this because sometimes claims that "China invents Y" can be somewhat exaggerated. But this is real, and completely insane.

This technology called "Bone 02" (inspired by the well-known "502 glue" in China) has been developed for the past 9 years by a team of orthopedic surgeons in Zhejiang province. The team leads are Professor Fan Shunwu (范顺武, Director of the Orthopedics Department at Zhejiang University) and Lin Xianfeng (https://t.co/IERBHn5xPa).

It's inspired by oysters because the researchers noticed their extraordinary ability to firmly attach themselves in harsh underwater environment by secreting a special adhesive known as bio-cement, which creates a strong chemical interaction with surfaces and hardens quickly.

- Nearly instant adhesion in blood-soaked wet physiological environments (it just takes 2-3 minutes)
- Extremely strong adhesive properties (bonding tensile force of over 400 pounds - over 181 kg)
- Complete biodegradability that naturally absorbs after about 6 months as the bone heals (no need for secondary surgery previously required in conventional treatments)
- Vast reduction of infection risks related to the traditional metal plates and screws normally needed for bone surgery
- Minimally invasive and rapid surgery since you just need a small opening large enough to apply the glue (as opposed to a complex surgery attaching metal fixations)

This glue could be especially useful for fractures with small bone fragments which are very difficult to fix with metal plates and screws.

The glue has already undergone a proper "prospective, multicenter, blinded, randomized, parallel-controlled, non-inferiority clinical trial" with over 150 patients (https://t.co/4dy4hsPxD0). They've announced positive results - the glue "achieved seamless bonding of all fracture fragments" - and will soon publish the peer-reviewed paper in an orthopedics journal detailing full trial data.
