INFORMATION REGARDING UPKEEP ARREARS

According to information gotten from the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, the Fund has commenced a reconciliation exercise to address unpaid upkeep allowances.

The exercise covers outstanding payments totaling ₦927.98 million, affecting 11,685 students from the 2024/2025 academic session.

These arrears resulted from technical and operational issues such as failed transactions and unvalidated bank details, not withheld funds.

Management has approved a one-time focused reconciliation process involving direct engagement with affected students and validation of account details, after which payments will be made.
