Great day for taking wheat off. This field has had support from Shur-grow, Hulme agri, esso, Gen-ag, delta ag, Sawatzky ent and now @hofer_jake and crew from Airport colony.
Total cash raised is $5200 in 4 weeks, more than double last year. Thank you to all the supporters of @Foodgrains and for the respect shown for the property. @EmilyBrass@gordonjanzen1
People are still stopping by this long weekend and still finding late blooming flowers to take home. Past prime for photos but still a place to stop and stretch for the travellers.
More pics of BDO staff visit to the sunflower field. As polination ends, people have been making smiley faces on the heads by rubbing off the disc florets. They are about to fall off anyway so no damage is being caused to the head.
Thanks to BDO Portage and thier casual Friday's fundraising, @Focusfields recieved $500 to help end hunger. Thanks for coming out to the field, it was great to meet you. @CarolKruck
Morning views in the field. Bees are cool to watch, even grasshoppers watch them. Beware of the bees but so far they have been concentrating on thier work and not bothering anyone.
Bees are hard at work, still lots of flowers open, some are just opening while others are almost finished the flowering stage. Germination was stagy and so is flowering. It will still be a great weekend for photos and food.
Tap to give is up and good to go, so simple. Also reminder that Nacho mamas food truck is setting up tomorrow for supper and there till Saturday. There is still lots of flowers out there but we are likely past peak flowering now so this week will be best opportunity
Excited to announce that Nacho Mamas food truck will be setting up on the field Aug 25-27th. We will set up a couple of picnic tables in the field as well so you can enjoy the great food surrounded by flowers.
