Nigeria's minimum wage is ₦70,000 a MONTH.

The UK's minimum wage is £12.71 an HOUR.

A British worker on minimum wage earns about £2,200 a month working full-time. That's roughly ₦4.7 million at current exchange rates. Meanwhile, a Nigerian worker earns ₦70,000 for the entire month.

What's even more insulting is that some groceries are cheaper in the UK than in Nigeria. Milk, apples, potatoes and other basics often cost less there despite their workers earning hundreds of times more.

We earn like ants and spend like elephants.

Open the letters. Dodging bills is not a financial plan.

Release the earlier version of you. That version carried you here.

Change your environment if needed. Sometimes the location is the limitation.

End the situationship. Yes, that exact one.

Tidy one drawer. Progress begins with small wins.

Let your teenager handle things. They’re 14, not a toddler.

Eat protein like it’s your daily contract, because at this age, it is.

Stop acting like the family counselor. You’re not certified, and they’re not paying.

Cancel the subscriptions. Re‑activate only what you genuinely miss.

Repair the marriage or release it. The in‑between is draining both of you.

Book the colonoscopy. Stop being dramatic.

If it’s not scheduled, it’s not happening.

Draft the will while you’re still strong.

Choose who you want to be at 55, then build backwards.

Life is not a rehearsal. Your older self will be grateful you listened.
