Bruce Knapp has played in many blues, soul, jazz, funk and world music bands since 1985, and recorded many different genres as a session player. His instruments are guitar, mandolin, dobro and ukulele. He will be one of the staff musicians at hall week 2 in Staple 3-10 August

Jenny Hopper is not only caterer for marquee week 2, 27 July to 3 August, but is in overall charge of catering at all Camps.

Alastair Gavin is a London-based professional keyboardist and composer, and musical director in the West End. He tries to take his role seriously as musician on camp but usually ends up at the cutting edge of mucking about. Muck about with him at marquee week 3 from 3 - 10 August
Moira and Peter Gutteridge are renowned for their music workshops aimed at players for dance. You can experience their workshops at the musicians weekend in Beckford from 28 to 30 June. There's also a cream tea!
Who would be considered "Mr Folk Camps"? Could it be Chris Jewell? He has been an inspirational Folk Camps musician for more years than he will admit. Melodeon, accordion, fiddle, guitar and song. Marquee week 4 is the camp to book with Chirs as musician.

....while in the north, the other singers weekend is at one of our favourite hall sites of Bampton in Cumbria from 11 to 14 July. Karen Dietz leads three community choirs so is well versed in encouraging the use of the voice. She is also a caller, dancer and musician.
Ever had the urge to sing but not the courage? Folk Camps singers weekends are just the thing for you. Jay Parrack and Clare Elleray Mee lead the Singers South weekend at Miserden from 20 to 23 June. They will have you singing your hearts out.
Belinda Jones started her musical life in the progressive rock world. She is now a music teacher and performer particularly on fiddle. Along with husband Richard she will be musician for the Spring bank holiday camp at Chedworth.
Ray Goodswen is a caller from the West Country but is known across the country. He returns to lead the workshop weekend for social dancers at the endof May. If you want to learn or improve your dancing this is the Folk Camp for you.
There are Folk Campers and FOLK CAMPERS. Sue Malleson is one of the latter. Sue comes from a folkie family which continues beyond her generation. As leader of the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at Chedworth she brings song, dance and even a little musicianship.
Anna Tabbush is a talented fiddle player and singer. Coming from a musical family, she and her sisters have been to Folk Camps since she was 11. Anna will be joint musician with Sarah Malleson for the May Bank Holiday weekend in Loxwood. An excellent start to the 2019 season.
Steve Porritt is one of the unsung heroes of Folk Camps. He has been a camp warden for years and years and is also leader of the team searching for new sites for us. He will be warden at Knockerdown marquee week 4 as well as several other camps. Say hello to him at camp!
Cat McGill will be joint musician with Andy Johnson at the Folk Camps marquee week 2 in August. Family bands, workshops, riffs and rhythm will all be happening and Cat will demonstrate how the notes you don't play are as important as the ones you do play.
