Weird and wonderful. 80% TTRPGs + 20% Calvinball. Rolled pretty high on my nerd check. She/They. Canadian EN/FR.

Seriously, the best artist and person to work with!

9. Use the word "disabled." It's not a dirty word. Alternatives like "differently abled" are infantalizing and gross, and terms like "handicapped" and "crippled" are both outdated and (often) offensive. Disabled. Get comfy with it.

We asked the team to tell us how excited they were for the upcoming ARG! This is what they had to say. #LARPG

My heart was in my throat, but I spoke up, and I didn’t apologize, backpedal, explain, or shoulder emotional labour. Wow.

[Folkroar @Folk_roar]

I am so proud of myself.

Story time.

I was bending down to pick up after my dog when an older man passed me on the sidewalk. He commented, “I bet you’d never do that for me.”

I turned to him with a straight face and asked, “what do you mean?”

[Folkroar @Folk_roar]

“It’s a joke,” he replied. I looked at him with a level head and told him, “I don’t appreciate it.”

He inhaled sharply, but responded, “oh, I’m sorry.” I nodded briskly, said “thank you,” and he walked off.

It wasn’t a confrontation. It didn’t escalate.

What’s a trite moral-of-the-story you still love, no matter how played out?

The truth was inside you all along?
The real treasure was the friendship we shared?

What’s your favourite term or concept from the physics of light and vision?

Mine is probably refraction. It’s such a simple but interesting concept when applied to narrative — I especially like it for Science Fiction.

Your turn!
