There is a reason its use is generally avoided in the late disease: cardiotoxicity.

At this point, there is a myriad of information for and against the use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment option, or even a preventive one.
To be clear, HQ is not yet the cure for Covid-19

However, we must also bear in mind that if we did more testings, we would likely get more positive results. These don't necessarily translate to Covid-19, as many would be asymptomatic or have mild disease.
