@WarPigsChief@ThePostCincy@fccincinnati Still can’t believe Twellman hopped on here to question Denkeys “commitment to the collective goal”. Man was doing exactly what he was asked to do, and if the team looks worse for it (they did) it’s completely on the tactics, not the player
@WarPigsChief@fccincinnati It gets even worse when you look at his record vs the top 8. 19 pts, 23 pts, 17 pts and 17 pts again. 5-2-7 against the top 8 when pundits were calling us the most talented non-IMCF squad is getting unforgivable. Even worse considering 4 of those wins were outside of the top 5
@FCCincyTakes@AndrewDWhit That take also completely ignores his first season here (which was mid). I put so much more stock in Albright and Noonan bringing us out of the dark ages. Club > player every time
@cream_my_cheese And the only changes are the Engels signing and Luca has joined the camp 😂 Lucho and his replacement are still very much up in the air
@zachblandford Passing on Caitlin Clark & Co (and ignoring everything else that made Cincy an incredible bid) for immediate cash is a generational bag fumble. Especially considering there was a non-zero chance of Caitlin inviting a certain world famous celebrity to see her new team
FCC fans: “sign a big budget DP!”
CA: *gets a $15m deal signed…player pulls out a week before deadline day*
FCC fans: “idk man you should’ve planned on this 🤷🏻♂️”
@bradleysweigel See chief’s college application analogy. If you have that kind of money but only apply to Ivy Leagues, that’s on you when there’s no place to go when school starts.
I can’t entertain this stuff all night so I’m signing off with this: Smart people got FC Cincy out of the cellar of MLS to 60+ wins all comps in less than three full years. Smart people bankrolled the project, too. If you don’t trust these people by now, you never will.
