I can’t wait to see Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers play together.
I love players who can link up and play like they’re just at the park or Powerleague. Those two already have that connection from their Man City days.
Palmer missed someone who could really be on the same wavelength as him last season, and Rogers could be that guy. Positions won’t even matter too much 10, left, right… just let them combine and create chaos.
Best friends reunited. This could be special.
Chelsea are starting to get a lot more respect heading into the new season.
The addition of Henderson and Welbeck gives the squad some much-needed experience, while players like Palmer, Enzo, Caicedo, João Pedro and Morgan Rogers are now reaching the stage where they should be at their best.
Estêvão was also picked out as someone who could explode this season and become one of the Premier League’s biggest stars.
Still some questions around the defence, but there’s a feeling Chelsea are in a much stronger place than they were 12 months ago.
Xabi Alonso likes to be very close to his players in training. He even joins some drills with them.
For him, it helps the players understand what he wants faster, especially the younger ones who are still learning.
He also said coming back to the Premier League now as a manager makes him very excited because he loves the competition and the challenge.

I mean, Enzo Fernandez scored & assisted at the Parc des Princes, but Chelsea fans said he had no right to lash out at Jorgensen, who gifted PSG 2 goals & conceded 5 in that game.
The same Chelsea fans would clap for Rodri for this.
The hate train didn’t start this summer. 😚
🚨 “I’d say Xabi Alonso.” 💙👀
When asked which manager from the Premier League’s top six they would choose to play under, Xabi Alonso got serious backing.
“I feel like he’s going to get the mentality of the team, and I like that. I think he’s going to do a good job.”
Chelsea were also backed to definitely finish in the TOP FOUR this season.
🚨 ENZO FERNÁNDEZ UPDATE: Manchester City are STILL in contact with Enzo’s agent, Javier Pastore, despite there being no official club-to-club contact with Chelsea since last Friday. 👀
City’s continued talks with Pastore are seen as a message that they are still thinking about Enzo.
However, the reported £120M verbal exit clause/deadline is now OVER, meaning everything is in Chelsea’s hands. Any deal now would require City to reach an agreement directly with Chelsea.
🚨 Pastore is reportedly pushing for Enzo Fernández to force a move, but the midfielder has no intention of doing so.
Enzo wants to stay at Chelsea and is instead looking for an improved contract that reflects his performances and importance to the team.
The way Pastore has pitched Enzo has reportedly created the expectation that the player could push for the transfer, but Enzo’s position remains clear: he does not want to force his way out.
Chelsea are also aware that Enzo wants to stay, with the main issue centred around his contract rather than a desire to leave.
Xabi Alonso On Enzo Fernandez Transfer rumour 🗣️ “Enzo is a Chelsea player. He’s a top, top player.
He’s training really, really well since he started ten days ago with the team, very integrated, and we are happy with him. He’s getting ready for Monday.”
Has he told you that he wants to stay at Chelsea?
“No. He’s training really well and I see him with a really good attitude, and that’s what we want that everyone is trying their best and preparing for the kickoff of the Premier League.”
Jamie Carragher 🗣️ The recruitment has changed too.
Chelsea have gone from focusing almost entirely on young players to adding experienced figures like Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck alongside established Premier League players such as Caicedo, Palmer and João Pedro.
Now the excuses about being a “young squad” have to stop.
Chelsea finished 10th last season, have no European football this year, and have a real opportunity to push back towards the top.
🗣️ Coventry Fan on Xabi Alonso:
“Winning the Premier League or Champions League with Chelsea will take time. The difficult moments will definitely come.
Over the last few years, we’ve seen this chelsea squad stop playing for managers when things weren’t going well. We saw it with Rosenior, we saw it with Potter.
